Coach Cory Waling has been head coach of the Kittson County Central Bearcats since the retirement of coach Terry Ogorek in 2009. Coach Waling has coached with KCC since 2007. Before then he coached with the Northstar Jaguars. As head coach he has led the Bearcats to three Conference/Sub-District Championships (2011, 2013, 2022), four Section 8 Runner-Ups (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018) five Section 8 Championships (2011, 2013, 2014, 2021, 2022), four State Semifinals appearances (2011, 2013, 2014, 2021), had eleven winning seasons out of fifteen, and gained an overall record of 100-57. Coach Waling has also been Section 8 Coach of the Year five times (2011, 2013, 2014, 2021, 2022), and Sub-District/Top of the State Conference Coach of the Year three times (2011, 2013, 2022).
