Offensive Player of the Week revealed

Jason Williamson, Owatonna The junior running back eclipsed the 300-yard mark for the first time this season, as he carried the ball 343 yards on 28 attempts in a 46-7 win over Rochester Century. His average totaled over 12 yards per carry, and he scored four touchdowns.

Player of the Week candidates

Ross Anderson, West Central Area The senior quarterback registered 243 passing yards and five touchdowns in a convincing 40-13 win over Staples-Motley.

Jayden Heisler, Waubun In a 47-14 win over Clearbrook-Gonvick, the junior quarterback was 13-for-15 for 154 yards and four touchdowns. Heisler added 99 yards and two more touchdowns on the ground.

Joe Janke, South Ridge Despite South Ridge's 56-36 loss to North Woods, the junior running back averaged over eight yards per carry on 40 carries. He ended the game with 323 total yards and four touchdowns.

Mack Jones, Verndale The senior quarterback accounted for five Pirates touchdowns in a 60-18 win over Hancock. Jones accumulated 190 passing yards and 131 rushing yards, and he tallied three rushing TDs on in the first half and two passing TDs in the second half.

Brock Luthens, Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart The senior quarterback averaged over eight yards per carry on 20 carries for 166 yards. Luthens added 114 passing yards and tallied two touchdowns in a 30-20 win over Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s.

Fisher Marberg, Spectrum The junior quarterback accumulated an impressive 319 rushing yards on 21 carries and added 24 yards on two completions. Marberg accounted for five Sting touchdowns in a 46-7 win over St. Agnes.

Nick Prentice, Orono In a 16-14 loss to St. Louis Park, the junior quarterback combined for 294 total yards240 passing, 54 rushingand two touchdowns.

Aaron Robillard, North Branch The senior quarterback totaled six touchdowns in a 52-20 win over Duluth Denfield. Robillard threw for 101 yards and rushed for 244.

Jonny Sorenson, St. Louis Park The senior quarterback completed a 41-yard touchdown pass with just over one minute to play against Orono, as the Orioles downed the Spartans 16-14. Sorenson totaled 218 passing yards, 54 rushing yards and two TDs in the victory.

Connor Souba, Chaska In a 44-30 win over Waconia, the senior quarterback accumulated 324 yards and four touchdowns. He completed 15 of 19 passes for 226 passing yards and added 98 rushing yards.
