MINNEOTA (13-0) vs. WABASSO (13-0), SATURDAY, 10 A.M.
Minneota’s bid for three consecutive Prep Bowl championships ended against Wabasso in the Section 5 playoffs last season. Those rascally Rabbits moved to Section 3, which made a state playoff meeting possible. Alex Pohlen is 49-1 as Minneota’s starting quarterback. He is also the only Minnesota high school football player to take the field at the Metrodome, TCF Bank Stadium and U.S. Bank Stadium. Wabasso’s Taylor twins shined in the semifinals. Cooper posted 128 yards rushing, 93 yards receiving, two touchdowns and an interception. Colton Taylor ran for a fourth-quarter touchdown and converted three extra points.
