St. Francis rallied late to beat Chisago Lakes.

 

ST. FRANCIS 31, CHISAGO LAKES 28: Hunter Trautman scored on a 1-yard quarterback sneak with 16 seconds remaining to lift the Saints into the Class 5A, Section 7 championship game with a victory over the Wildcats on Saturday. The Wildcats had a chance to force overtime on a 52-yard field goal attempt, but the kick fell short as time expired. The Saints jumped to a 14-0 lead in the second quarter after Trautman ran for a touchdown and threw for another. Fullback Isaiah Brunette scored on 2-yard run to extend the Saints’ advantage to 24-7 in the third quarter. But the Wildcats rallied with 21 consecutive points to take a lead with 1 minute, 8 seconds remaining in the game. Matt Mohr rushed for his second score of the game to cut the deficit to 10. Quarterback Ethan Hickcox followed with a pair of rushing touchdowns to vault the Wildcats into the lead before Trautman engineered a 65-yard, 52-second game-winning drive.

ST. MICHAEL-ALBERTVILLE 35, ELK RIVER 12: The Knights stormed to a 21-0 lead in the first quarter and cruised to a Class 5A, Section 6 semifinal victory. Eric Sjelin and Zach Kainz each finished with over 100 yards rushing and two touchdowns to pace the Knights. Receiver Isaiah Weston had three catches for 111 yards and a touchdown. The Knights are one victory away from their third consecutive state tournament berth.

PRINCETON 46, HIBBING 14: Tim Bialka rushed for 230 yards and four touchdowns on 27 carries to power Princeton to a win in the Class 4A, Section 7 semifinals. Running back Jacob Carlson added 11 carries for 82 yards and two touchdowns.

ANDOVER 48, GRAND RAPIDS 7: Quarterback Jeremy Neuman completed 11 of 19 passes for 177 yards and three touchdowns to help the Huskies breeze by the Thunderhawks in the Class 5A, Section 7 semifinals. Neuman connected with wide receiver Jacob Grier four times for 72 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Devin Prater finished with 16 carries for 128 yards and two scores in the rout.
