Benilde-St. Margaret’s back rushes for 459 yards

• BENILDE-ST. MARGARET’S 63, ST. LOUIS PARK 36: Junior running back Ricky Floyd ran for 459 yards on 24 carries Friday, coming close to the state record for rushing yards in a game. Alexander Robinson ran for 464 yards for DeLaSalle in 2005. Floyd scored seven touchdowns to lead the Red Knights past St. Louis Park. He now has 1,169 yards rushing for the season.

• EDEN PRAIRIE 49, MINNETONKA 7: J.D. Spielman found the end zone for the fifth consecutive game as he scored twice for the Eagles, ranked No. 1 in Class 6A in this week’s Associated Press poll. T.J. Conrad contributed two touchdowns on the ground. The Skippers’ touchdown came in the third when Amar Miller recovered a fumble, but sophomore D.J. Johnson answered quickly with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

• BURNSVILLE 42, FARMINGTON 6: The Blaze, ranked No. 8 in Class 6A in this week’s Associated Press poll, were led by future Gopher Kamal Martin for a homecoming win over the Tigers. Martin threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Keenan Winge and later ran for a touchdown. Jackson Martens and Max Cantrell each had an interception for a Blaze defense that shut out the Tigers for three quarters.

• ROSEMOUNT 20, EAGAN 6: Blake Storholm led the Irish with two rushing touchdowns over district rival Eagan. Senior quarterback Jared Hanson started the scoring with a 4-yard touchdown run in the second quarter.

• MINNEAPOLIS ROOSEVELT 26, SPECTRUM 13: Running back Tyreek Strickling scored first for Roosevelt on a 77-yard run. Elijah Hannah Jr. passed for three touchdowns for the Teddies. Reid Gunderson had 15 tackles for Roosevelt.

• FRIDLEY 40, ST. CROIX LUTHERAN 21: Prince Okolie ran 28 times for three touchdowns and 256 yards to lead the Tigers. Sophomore quarterback Noah Couwenhoven contributed two touchdown passes in the first half.

• NEW LIFE ACADEMY 14, PROVIDENCE ACADEMY 13: The Lions came up short after failing to convert a two-point conversion with 11 seconds left in the game after Henry Van Dellen’s 4-yard touchdown run. Ebenezer Ketema and Adam Busch scored for the Eagles. New Life Academy ran for 217 yards on 48 carries.

• ROSEVILLE 22, FOREST LAKE 15: The Raiders prevailed when quarterback Henry Bensen hit Devin Dykes with 20 seconds left in the game. It was Dykes’ second touchdown of the game. Forest Lake had two rushing touchdowns, by Payton Ziedler and Remmy Brisbois.

• ARMSTRONG 48, IRONDALE 6: Armstrong senior receiver True Thompson had three touchdowns to lead the Falcons. Thompson finished with eight catches for 230 yards. Senior quarterback Collis Barber threw for 279 yards.

• CHAMPLIN PARK 31, OSSEO 13: The Rebels stunned the No. 7-ranked Orioles with three touchdowns in the fourth quarter, starting with Lumumba White’s 35-yard fumble return. DeAnte’ Bronson returned an interception to the 1, which set up Romello Adkins’ first of two rushing touchdowns. Osseo’s Malik Gaillard ran for two touchdowns.

• SOUTH ST. PAUL 28, ST. THOMAS ACADEMY 21: Senior quarterback Dan Pietruszewski led the Packers offense with 196 yards passing and four touchdowns. He also ran the ball 15 times for 132 yards. Wide receiver Austin Brandecker caught two touchdown passes for South St. Paul, ranked No. 6 in Class 4A in this week’s Associated Press poll. The Packers defense had three takeaways, including Trevor Oberg’s interception. The Cadets were led by quarterback Andrew Tri’s 141 passing yards.

• MONTICELLO 26, PRINCETON 21: Monticello got two rushing touchdowns in defeating Princeton. Ryder Beckman scored twice for the Magic. Monticello’s rushing attack gained 227 yards on 34 carries. Jacob Carlson had two touchdowns to lead Princeton.

• LAKEVILLE NORTH 38, LAKEVILLE SOUTH 28: Wade Sullivan rushed for 180 yards on 23 carries and scored three touchdowns for the Panthers. Quarterback Drew Stewart threw two touchdowns. Lakeville South running back Cole Engstrom ran for two touchdowns and a two-point conversion.

• RED WING 26, NEW PRAGUE 14: Sam Hanson ran for two touchdowns to lead the Wingers. Quarterback Tait Kelly threw a touchdown pass and ran for a touchdown. Nick Arguedas and Tylar Lindell scored touchdowns for New Prague in the fourth quarter.

• CHISAGO LAKES 35, BIG LAKE 23: Senior quarterback Ethan Hickox scored three rushing touchdowns to lead the Wildcats.
