Vote for your Week 3 Offensive Player of the Week.

Offensive Player of the Week Candidates:

Wade Sullivan, Lakeville North RB, junior: Sullivan was the main catalyst in a second half comeback that allowed Lakeville North to upend Burnsville 29-18 in a battle of top ten teams in Class 6A. The junior had 17 carries for 140 rushing yards and a TD, three kick returns for 147 yards and a TD, and two punt returns for 38 yards.

Mason Carstens, Rochester Lourdes RB, senior (winner): Carstens forced my hand and became the first repeat nominee in the Offensive Player of the Week poll. He had 19 carries for 278 yards and five touchdowns in a 42-7 win in which the defending Class 3A state champions led Byron 42-0 at halftime. Carstens is currently tops in the state with 701 rushing yards through just three games.

Greg Henry, Rochester Mayo RB, senior: Henry ran for 211 yards and three touchdowns on 25 carries as Rochester Mayo beat Austin 26-21 to jump out to a 3-0 record. The senior has upped his rushing yardage total in each game this season and currently has 540 rushing yards and 9 TDs.

Jaran Roste, Alexandria QB, junior: Alexandria routed St. Cloud Apollo 70-33 in week 3, and their QB was a big reason why. Roste finished 17-for-22 passing for 209 yards and five touchdowns. He also rushed 12 times for 101 yards and a TD.

Ramaud Chiaokhiao-Bowman, Breck WR, senior: After a somewhat slow start to the season, the Northwestern WR recruit broke out in a big way in week 3. Chiaokhiao-Bowman finished with 11 catches for 212 yards and three touchdowns and 102 return yards as Breck finally got in the win column with a 45-28 defeat of St. Paul Como Park.

Charles Klug, St. Paul Highland Park QB, senior: "Efficient" is the word that comes to mind when describing Klug's week 3 performance in a 49-23 win over St. Croix Lutheran. The senior needed just eight completions to pass for 315 yards and five TDs. He added seven carries for 29 yards and a rushing TD as the Scots moved to 2-1.

Andrew Stanger, Becker QB, senior: Another model of efficiency, Stanger went 10-for-11 passing for 238 yards and five TDs in a 64-7 win over Little Falls. Stanger finished with a perfect passer rating of 158.3 to help move the defending Class 4A champs to 3-0.

Van Neils, Mankato West RB, senior: The Scarlets entered the fourth quarter trailing Rochester John Marshall 14-10, but two late touchdowns from Neils helped them pull out a 24-14 win and stay undefeated. Neils finished with 28 carries for 197 yards and three TDs.

Isaiah Weston, St. Michael-Albertville WR, senior: Weston did all of his damage in the second quarter, catching two passes for 150 yards and two TDs in just a four minute span as STMA topped rival Rogers 26-7 in week 3. The Northern Iowa commit has 266 receiving yards through three games and is averaging 44.3 yards per reception.

Josh Kirk, Tracy-Milroy-Balaton WR, senior: Kirk scored on all three passes he caught, totalling 140 receiving yards as TMB rolled to a 55-12 win over Russell-Tyler-Ruthton. He has topped 100 receiving yards in all three games this season to help TMB start the season undefeated.
