Holy Angels scores with 24 seconds left to advance
CLASS 4A
• HOLY ANGELS 21, KASSON-MANTORVILLE 14: Adam Hoffman scored two touchdowns, including the game-winner with 24 seconds left, to lead Holy Angels over Kasson-Mantorville in the Class 4A football quarterfinals on Friday night at East Ridge High School in Woodbury. The Stars trailed the KoMets 14-7 entering the fourth quarter but got a 19-yard touchdown run from Danny Hoffman to tie the score before Adam Hoffman’s go-ahead, 4-yard run.
• DELANO 61, CLOQUET 33: Toby Hanson ran for four touchdowns and passed for two more, including a 68-yard run in the third quarter, as the Tigers beat the Lumberjacks at St. Cloud State. Delano trailed 19-18 at halftime before Hanson ran for two TDs in the third quarter. Cloquet reclaimed the lead at 33-32 but Hanson then ran for a 31-yard, go-ahead TD, then added a 4-yard run and his second TD pass to Adam Kraft — all in the fourth quarter.

• BRAINERD 35, HENRY SIBLEY 7: Tommy Stoxen ran for a 69-yard first half touchdown and threw for another as Brainerd tallied four total rushing touchdowns and 371 total yards to defeat Henry Sibley.
CLASS 3A
• PROCTOR 19, PIERZ 6: Joe Carter ran for 132 yards and a touchdown in the first half and Brodie Nordquist scored from 29 yards out in the fourth quarter to lead the Rails to their first state semifinal.
CLASS 2A
• CHATFIELD 32, JACKSON COUNTY CENTRAL 6: Two fourth-quarter defensive touchdowns, including a 45-yard AJ Riley interception return, sealed the Gophers’ victory over the Huskies.
• MAPLE LAKE 28, PINE ISLAND 10: Dusty Strub ran for two TDs, including a 78-yarder, and the Irish defense kept the Panthers out of the red zone after the first quarter.
