Coming off a 7-4 campaign a year ago, Duluth Marshall opened the 2013 high school football season with a decisive 41-16 victory over visiting Cook County on Friday afternoon.
Charlie Kratz and Jeremy Stephan each scored two rushing touchdowns as the Hilltoppers (1-0) tallied 41 first-half points against the Vikings (0-1).
Jordan Fralich and Cullen Mudrak also scored rushing TDs for Marshall.
Jacob Schroeder put Cook County on the scoreboard in the second half with a pair of short rushing scores.
