Byron finished off La Crescent 42 to 28 at Byron Middle School in Byron on Friday. Neither team managed to put points on the board in the first quarter. Both defenses held strong to shut down scoring in the second quarter. The game remained scoreless going into the fourth quarter as the defensive battle wore on. In the final quarter, the offenses finally got going when Byron outscored La Crescent 42 to 28 and took the lead to claim the late win.

Byron's offensive effort was enough for the win.

The La Crescent offense didn't perform as well.

La Crescent ended the game with a record of 2 wins and 3 losses.
