Delano scores 14 in 2nd QTR keeps lead for the victory on the road

Delano finished off Litchfield 41 to 13 at Litchfield High School in Litchfield on Friday. Litchfield scored 7 points to take the lead in the first quarter. In the second quarter Delano outscored their opponents by 8 points and took over the lead. Halftime saw Delano ahead 14 to 13. Delano never looked back. In the third quarter Delano scored 13 straight points to keep in the lead. Delano scored 14 unanswered points in the fourth quarter improving its score and winning the game.

In the first quarter, Dylan Koll scored a 37 yard touchdown for Litchfield after scooping up a fumble. In the second quarter, Delano charged back when Jack Nelson flew down the field 54 yards going all the way for a touchdown, tying the score. This put Delano ahead for good. Piling on, Toby Hanson ran with the ball 2 yards over the goal line, to get the lead by 7. Replying back, Litchfield's Zach Kinny let rip a 34 yard pass to Devan Schliemann for a touchdown. In the third quarter, on the other side, Delano's Toby Hanson fired a 80 yard pass to Zach Checkal for a TD. Next, Hanson connected again on a 63 yard pass to Brett Norling good for a TD. In the fourth quarter, Delano turned up their air game when Hanson completed once again with a 30 yard pass to Adam Kraft for a touchdown. Then Brett Norling ran 80 yards going all the way for a touchdown.

Litchfield ended the game with a record of 3 wins and 4 losses.
