North Woods defense shuts down opponent's passing game to dominate the game

In a rout, North Woods triumphed over Littlefork-Big Falls 66 to 14 at Cook High School in Cook on Friday. Both teams were scoreless in the first quarter. Both defenses held strong to shut down scoring in the second quarter. Neither offense could find a way score in the 3rd quarter either. In the final quarter, with defenses wearing down, North Woods outscored Littlefork-Big Falls 66 to 14 and took the lead to claim the late win.

The North Woods offense led the way in passing and rushing. Causing trouble for the Littlefork-Big Falls defense, Elijah Halverson rushed through the defense five times for a net 84 yards. Halverson ran for a TD twice. Elijah Halverson also got 85 yards on 3 completions out of 5 passes attempted. Halverson was intercepted once. Travis Hooper caught one pass for 53 yards and had one touchdown grab.

Littlefork-Big Falls came up short on offense.

North Woods continued their current win streak of 2 games and ended the game with a perfect record of 3 wins and 0 losses.
