Field goal lifts Simley over Rocori and into the Prep Bowl in Class 4A
Reid Remackel’s kick won it after the Spartans had dominated the game statistically.
Simley linebacker Gavin Nelson sacked Rocori quarterback Jack Spanier on Thursday. Nelson also rushed for 167 yards in the game. (Aaron Lavinsky, Star Tribune)
The Prep Bowl is not on its traditional Thanksgiving weekend schedule this season. Championship games will be played Dec. 2-3 at U.S. Bank Stadium. The Class 4A final is scheduled for 4 p.m. Dec. 2.
