We task our reporters with identifying several intriguing games throughout the state to assemble our Top Games of the Week. The matchups are presented in no particular order, and when there are additional games we want to highlight, we’ll include them with brief notes.
Other games to keep an eye on
Eden Prairie vs. Rosemount, 6 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 22. Eden Prairie (3-0) faces another tough test after knocking off defending Class 6A state champion, Lakeville South (2-1) last week. Rosemount (3-0) is also unbeaten and looking for its first big-time win of the season.
Tartan vs. Mahtomedi, 7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 23. Tartan (2-1) will look to avenge its loss to Mahtomedi (3-0) last season in a rematch of the 2021 Class 5A, Section 4 championship. The reigning state runner up Zephyrs have looked good in 2022 but face their biggest challenge to date hosting the Titans.
