Tony Kollie, Robbinsdale Cooper. With the scoring spread between a few players, the Hawks were led on defense by freshman linebacker Kollie. He made 10 tackles — twice as many as any other Hawk — including one for a loss, as the Hawks defeated Benilde-St. Margaret’s 41-0 on Oct. 20.
Ethan Anderson, Becker. The senior made a season-high 14 total tackles, making seven tackles solo, including two for a loss and one sack. The Bulldogs defeated Willmar 17-0 on Oct. 20.
Charlie Boucher, Minneapolis Southwest. The senior backed the Lakers’ 19-2 victory against Minneapolis South on Oct. 20. His 18 total tackles in the win brings his regular season total to 103 — third most in the state — or nearly 13 per game average. He recorded two tackles for a loss in the win.
Jack Johnson, Blaine. After two first-half touchdowns, the Bengals shut down Osseo’s offense in the second half of their 14-13 victory on Oct. 21. The junior linebacker made 19 total tackles to lead the Bengals' defense.

Sam Lokken, Mountain Iron-Buhl. The junior led the defense in the Rangers’ 74-14 rout of Bigfork on Oct. 20. Lokken made 10 solo tackles and 15 tackles, including three for a loss. He added one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
Daniel Padilla, Norwood Young America. The junior tied a season high of 13 total tackles, helping the Central Raiders break a three-game losing streak and defeat LeSueur-Henderson 42-13 on Oct. 20. Padilla also grabbed an interception, his first of the season.
William Richman, Minnetonka. The senior linebacker capped off an impressive season with 10 solo tackles — 11 total — during a 35-18 victory at Roseville on Oct. 21. He had four tackles for a loss and one sack in the Skippers' victory.
John Roers, Brandon-Evansville. The senior amassed 26 total tackles on Oct. 20 — nearly one-fourth of his team's total of 117 that night — as the Chargers lost to Verndale 26-20. Roers recorded one tackle for a loss.
Kerome Thompson, Fridley. The Tigers held Columbia Heights off the scoreboard for the first 43 minutes of the game and allowed a single touchdown in their 15-6 victory on Oct. 20. The junior linebacker made 10 total tackles, including one for a loss, to lead the Tigers’ defense.
Jayce Walrath, Sauk Rapids-Rice. The Storm lost a close one to Monticello on Oct. 20, as the senior recorded nine solo tackles and 12 total tackles — one shy of his season high — to lead the Storm. Walrath tallied two tackles for a loss and one sack.
