Caledonia (12-1) vs. Moose Lake-Willow River (13-0)
Two powerhouses that are born to run
Caledonia: The Warriors' blitzing, intimidating defense produced four sacks and another three tackles for loss last week. Meanwhile, Caledonia RB Connor McCormick picked up steady chunks of yards (166) and QB Kennen Bruening completed eight of 11 passes.
Moose Lake-Willow River: The Rebels know how to make your bull run. In the quarterfinals, RB Jake Disterhaupt rushed for 244 yards and four TDs. But Josh Cisar (93 yards) and Chris Gassert (91) played big roles. All three averaged at least 6.6 yards per carry, with Disterhaupt at 10.6.
The difference-maker: Whichever run-heavy offense finishes its blocks and protects the football will win.
David says: The Rebels have three strong runners, but Disterhaupt is that special play-maker who inspires his team and comes up big in the big games. Their sixth consecutive state tournament trip ends in glory.

Jim says: Caledonia is playing in the Prep Bowl for the fourth time in five years, having won state titles in 2007, 2008 and 2010. After whacking Warroad 37-0 in the semifinals, a fourth title seems likely.
