MOORHEAD – With one field goal, his first of the season, Austin Larson made one football program stronger while crippling another one. A 16-game losing streak. A hazing scandal. These were all things that haunted Elk River last season. Yet on Friday, it was one kick, from a sophomore no less, that made all that disappear and help the Elks overcome giving up 22 unanswered points to beat Moorhead 31-29 on Friday. “I was a little nervous at first,” Larson said of his 27-yard game-winner. “But it was my first kick of the whole year and there was a little bit of luck involved and it was a good kick, I guess.”
