There was an explosion of offense for the Detroit Lakes football team in its season and home opener, despite having its most potent weapon on the sidelines against visiting Little Falls Thursday.

Four different Lakers scored on plays of 30-plus yards, as DL cruised to a 34-20 victory over the Flyers.

Coming into the game, the Lakers were supposed to have had a strong aerial attack with highly-recruited senior Joe Mollberg highlighting the offense.
