Dynasties are easy to discuss but a lot harder to achieve.
Take a look around Minnesota’s high school football scene since Stephen-Argyle won a state-record 77 consecutive games with five straight state championships from 2003 to 2008.
The streak is one of the state’s greatest dynasties in any sport. No other Minnesota school has come close to replicating it.
Schools like Cretin-Derham Hall, Eden Prairie, Totino-Grace and Wayzata have established dominant football programs. But nothing like the accomplishment of Stephen-Argyle – a school in northwest Minnesota with a combined enrollment of less than 100 students.
