After six days of practice, the Yellow Medicine East football team is starting to develop its own identity, one that strives for balance and to make opportunities count.

GRANITE FALLS - After six days of practice, the Yellow Medicine East football team is starting to develop its own identity, one that strives for balance and to make opportunities count.

The Sting lost five key players - running back and linebacker Derek Dyrdahl, quarterback Bobby Lecy and linemen Chad Anderson, Garrett Cole and Zach Jorschumb - off the 2010 team that went 5-5 overall. But head coach Mike Gaffaney believes that opportunity has knocked at the door for other players to step up.
