Offensive Player of the Week Candidates:

True Thompson, Robbinsdale Armstrong WR, senior: Thompson caught eight passes for 230 yards and three TDs as Armstrong rolled to a 48-6 win over Irondale to move to 4-1. Thompson has 403 receiving yards and six touchdowns on the season.

Jaran Roste, Alexandria QB, junior: Roste continued to pile up huge passing numbers as Alexandria came away with a 57-49 overtime win over Bemidji in week 5. Roste was 24-for-38 passing for 371 yards and five TDs and now has 1358 passing yards through five games. He also had 11 carries for 34 yards and a touchdown.

Logan Hatfield, Bemidji RB, senior: Hatfield had 179 rushing yards in the first quarter alone, and finished with 393 yards and four touchdowns in an overtime loss to Alexandria. According to the MSHSL, Hatfield's performance was good for sixth all-time on the single game rushing yards list.

Ricky Floyd, Benilde-St. Margaret's RB, junior: Any other week, Hatfield's rushing performance would have grabbed all the headlines, but Ricky Floyd outdid him in a 63-36 win over St. Louis Park, Floyd, who is quickly becoming a mainstay on this poll, finished with 24 carries for 459 yards and seven touchdowns. His 459 yards were the second-highest single game rushing total in state history and brought his season total to 1169 yards.

Mike Duginski, Moorhead RB, senior: The Spuds are looking like one of the teams to beat in Class 5A and Mike Duginski is a big reason why. Duginski had 14 carries for 114 yards and two TDs and caught three passes for 123 yards and two touchdowns in a 38-13 win over Brainerd.

Dan Pietruszewski, South St. Paul QB, senior: Usually a run-first quarterback, Pietruszewski did most of his damage through the air as the Packers handed St. Thomas Academy their first loss of the 2015 season. The senior was 7-for-11 passing for 196 yards and three touchdowns for a passer rating of 146.8. He also carried the ball 15 times for 132 yards.

Mitch Blaha, Verndale RB, senior: Blaha needed just nine carries to run for 219 yards and four touchdowns in a 54-14 blowout win over Rothsay in week 5. He averaged 24.3 yards per carry in the game.

Prince Okolie, Fridley RB, junior: Okolie had 28 carries for 256 yards and three touchdowns as Fridley knocked off St. Croix Lutheran 40-21 in week 5. The Tigers have already eclipsed their win total from last season, jumping out to a 4-1 mark in 2015.

John Larson, Braham QB, senior: Larson went 16-for-24 passing for 282 yards and six touchdowns in a 46-14 win over Hinckley-Finlayson. Larson has thrown for 1244 yards and 16 touchdowns to help the Bombers start the season with a perfect 5-0 record.

Luke Frahm, Glencoe-Silver Lake QB, junior (winner): Frahm went 7-for-9 passing for 142 yards and three TDs as Glencoe-Silver-Lake, the #2 team in Class 3A, beat Watertown-Mayer 33-0. He had a perfect passer rating of 158.3 and added eight carries for 107 yards and a touchdown.
