Offensive Player of the Week: Week 4

Tyler Johnson, Minneapolis North QB, senior: Johnson and the Polars came out rested after Humboldt forfeited their week 3 game and rolled to a 40-0 win over Spectrum in week 4. The senior went 17-for-22 passing for 288 yards and four TDs and had five carries for 105 yards and a touchdown. North is now 4-0 and Johnson has 10 TD passes in just three games. 

Travis Dreyer, Montevideo WR, junior: Dreyer caught four of the five touchdowns thrown by QB Troy Diggins in a 35-6 win over Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City. Dreyer finished with seven catches for 147 yards and has 297 receiving yards on the season. 

Ricky Floyd, Benilde-St. Margaret's RB, junior: Floyd, the winner of the week 2 Offensive Player of the Week poll, went off again in week 4. He finished with 23 carries for 296 yards and four touchdowns to carry the Red Knights to their first win over DeLaSalle in five years. 

Tanner Teige, Big Lake RB, junior (winner): Teige had his best game of the year by a wide margin as Big Lake topped North Branch 39-22. He had 25 carries for 237 yards and four touchdowns and caught two passes for 86 yards and a TD. 

Kyle Kipka, Foley QB, senior: Kipka accounted for five touchdowns and finished with a perfect passer rating of 158.3 in a 49-6 win over Milaca. He went 7-for-8 passing for 234 yards and four TDs and had four carries for 18 yards and a touchdown. 

Jake Lieberg, Sartell-St. Stephen WR, senior: Lieberg was one of two players in the state to top 200 receiving yards in week 4. The senior had 11 catches for 206 yards and two TDs in a 31-28 loss to Bemidji. 

Chase Fleischauer, Tartan WR, senior: Fleischauer was the other receiver to top 200 yards as he caught seven passes for 252 yards and two touchdowns in a 54-38 loss to Park. Fleischauer is averaging 112 receiving yards per game this season. 

Brendan Beaulieu, Park of Cottage Grove QB, junior: Beaulieu has gotten better each game after being thrust into the starting role shortly before the season started. He went 11-for-14 passing for 190 yards and three TDs and had 20 carries for 166 yards and three rushing TDs in a 54-38 win over Tartan. Beaulieu has thrown eight touchdowns and zero interceptions while starting in place of suspended QB Brandon Alt. 

Tyler Oberg, Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton RB, senior: Oberg accounted for over half of DGF's 477 rushing yards in a 54-12 win over Hawley in week 4. Oberg carried 31 times for 258 yards and three TDs in the win. 

Grant Thompson, Paynesville QB, senior: Thompson did most of his damage running the ball in a 62-13 win over Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted in week 4. He had 14 carries for 189 yards and three TDs. When asked to pass he was equally effective, finishing 5-for-7 for 134 yards and two touchdowns through the air.
