And the winner is...MN Football Hub offensive Top Performer revealed

Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Football Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. Coaches or members of their staffs needing access to enter stats should email mnhubs@sportngin.com.


Top performer winner

Drey Dirksen, Willmar. The senior quarterback led his team to a 51-6 win over Fergus Falls behind five individual touchdowns — two passing and three rushing — and 214 offensive yards.  

Top performer candidates

Jenson Beachy, Perham. The senior quarterback threw four touchdowns and finished with 221 passing yards in a 50-8 rout of Frazee. He added 34 yards on the ground.

Aidan Bouman, Buffalo. The junior quarterback was one of four players in the state to eclipse the 300-yard passing mark in the Bison's season opener. His 311 passing yards and four touchdowns helped Buffalo defeat Brainerd 38-28.

Drey Dirksen, Willmar. The senior quarterback led his team to a 51-6 win over Fergus Falls behind five individual touchdowns — two passing and three rushing — and 214 offensive yards.    

Jack Foster, Mankato West. In a 24-0 win over Rochester Century, the junior quarterback was effective both through the air and on the ground — accounting for 227 passing yards, 40 rushing yards and three touchdowns. 

Nate Heuer, Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted. Despite the Lakers' 43-20 loss to Upsala/Swanville, the senior quarterback accumulated 300 passing yards and three touchdowns, in addition to 20 rushing yards.

Evan Hull, Maple Grove. In a 34-7 win over Osseo, the senior running back accounted for four consecutive Crimson touchdowns and totaled 387 rushing yards. He finished the game just shy of 12 yards per carry.

Joe Janke, South Ridge. The senior running back scored a touchdown in each quarter — accounting for more than half of the Panthers' points — in a 39-18 win over Isle. He finished with four touchdowns on 334 rushing yards. 

Josh Kinzler, Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City. Kinzler accounted for 199 offensive yards and four touchdowns — two rushing, two receiving — in a 35-14 win over Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa. The junior halfback also averaged double-digit yardage in three punt returns and a kick return. 

David Roddy, Breck. The senior threw for 374 passing yards — the state's highest single-game total this season — and completed three touchdown passes in a 30-20 win over Columbia Heights. The 6-foot-5 quarterback added 23 rushing yards, and on defense, he returned an interception 21 yards for TD.

Nate Trewick, St. Cloud Tech. In a 30-22 win over St. Cloud Apollo, the senior quarterback totaled 286 passing yards and four touchdowns, in addition to 48 rushing yards.
