Oct. 6: The Stars and Red Knights look to clinch the Suburban Red subdistrict in a potential playoff matchup.

Losing in the playoffs can be frustrating, but it can also serve as motivation. Holy Angels (5-0, 3-0) hopes it's the latter when traveling to Benilde-St. Margaret's (5-0, 3-0) on Friday in a regular season tilt.

The Stars have lost to the Red Knights in the last two section tournaments, including a 44-29 defeat in the Class 4A, Section 5 title game a year ago.

However, Holy Angels, ranked No. 5 in the Associated Press Class 4A poll, is undefeated through five weeks this season. It's the first time the Stars own a perfect record this late in the year since 2014 -- the last time they reached the state tournament.

Benilde-St. Margaret's has returned strong after winning the Class 4A state title last year. The No. 3-4A Red Knights can secure their first league title since 2013 by beating Suburban Red subdistrict rival Holy Angels.

Both teams reside in Section 5, meaning they could play again in the playoffs and adding additional stakes to this grudge match which makes it worthy of being our Top Game of the Week.
