Offensive Player of the Week revealed

Jalen Suggs, SMB: The sophomore quarterback totaled 317 yards and had a hand in all six of the Wolfpack's touchdowns in a 40-0 win over Minneapolis Washburn. He had 231 passing yards and added 86 yards on the ground.

Player of the Week candidates

James Clark, United North Central: The senior quarterback tallied 147 passing and 135 rushing yards (282 total) with two touchdowns in a 22-14 loss to Pillager.

Wyatt Curtis, Rothsay: The senior running back accounted for five touchdowns in a 52-13 win over Wheaton-Herman-Norcross. He accumulated 273 rushing yards on 17 carries.

Evan Hull, Maple Grove: In a 44-16 win over Burnsville, the junior running back had 239 yards on 24 carries and tallied four touchdowns.

Carter Kopet, Cleveland/Immanuel Lutheran: The senior quarterback contributed on all facets of offense, finishing with 357 passing yards, 13 rushing yards and one reception for 17 yards. Kopet accounted for seven TDs in a 53-18 win over Cedar Mountain-Comfrey.

Josiah Lossow, Minneapolis South: The junior quarterback threw for 275 yards and two touchdowns and added 75 rushing yards with one TD in a 38-16 win over St. Paul Harding.

Alex Pohlen, Minneota: While Minneota’s defense shut out Yellow Medicine East, the Vikings senior quarterback went 12-for-18 passing with 262 yards and two touchdowns in a 39-0 win.

Nate Soto, Fridley: Though Fridley lost 51-33 to St. Croix Lutheran, the Tigers senior quarterback scored three touchdowns, including two on kickoff returns. His 85-yard return in the second quarter was bettered by an 86-yarder in the fourth, helping him accumulate 248 yards on six kick returns.

Connor Souba, Chaska: The senior quarterback amassed 163 passing and 85 rushing yards and scored three TDs in Chaska’s 26-22 win over Orono.

Jacob Vetter, Hawley: In a 48-0 rout of Long Prairie-Grey Eagle, the junior quarterback scored two TDs, went 9-for-12 passing for 163 yards and had 93 rushing yards on four carries.
