Orono grabs 6 point lead in 1st quarter, goes on to shut down their opponents on the road

Shutting out their opponents, Orono defeated Zimmerman 40 to zero at Zimmerman High School in Zimmerman on Friday. Orono chalked up 6 points to jump in to the lead in the first quarter. Orono added 14 points in the second quarter and held on to its lead. The half ended with Orono up 20 to 0. Zimmerman's fate was sealed. In the third quarter Orono scored 13 unanswered points to keep in the lead. Orono scored 7 points in the fourth quarter improving its score and winning the game.

The Orono offense did what they had to do for the win.

Despite the loss, Zimmerman's offense made their mark. Jeff Mueller ran for 28 yards with 9 carries. Cam Korlath passed for 59 yards going 5 for 11. Korlath threw an interception once. Nick Hasslen made one reception for 21 total yards.

Orono now has a record of 4-3. Zimmerman ended the game with a record of 4-3.
