In an offensive duel, Long Prairie-Grey Eagle beat Wadena-Deer Creek 52 to 36 at Long Prairie-Grey Eagle Middle School in Long Prairie on Friday. Long Prairie-Grey Eagle outscored Wadena-Deer Creek 22 to 6 to jump in to the lead at the end of the first quarter. Wadena-Deer Creek failed to take the lead in the second quarter even though they scored 6 points. Halftime saw Long Prairie-Grey Eagle on top 22 to 12. In the third quarter Long Prairie-Grey Eagle outgunned their opponents by 6 points and added to their advantage. Both teams scored 16 points in the fourth quarter but Long Prairie-Grey Eagle kept the lead for the win.

Wadena-Deer Creek ended the game with a record of 1-3.
