Jacob Pavek led the winning effort for Mahnomen, passing for two touchdowns and running in for another two.

Shutting out the competition, Mahnomen got the better of Walker-Hackensack-Akeley 47 to nothing at Walker-Hackensack-Akeley on Friday. Both teams were scoreless in the first quarter. Both teams also came up blank in the 2nd quarter. Both offenses continued to be totally shut down by strong defense in the 3rd quarter. Mahnomen finally scored in the fourth quarter with 47 unanswered points and won the game.

Mahnomen's offensive output was not superior, but enough to win. Having a very good day rushing, Austin Reitan ran through the defense for 56 yards on 14 carries. Reitan reached the end zone once. Jacob Pavek went 4 for 4 passing for 96 yards.
