Rocori handed a loss to St. Cloud Apollo 35 to 18 at St. Cloud Apollo High School in St. Cloud on Friday. Rocori chalked up 14 points to jump in to the lead in the first quarter. St. Cloud Apollo gained 12 unanswered points in the second quarter but failed to take the lead. The first half closed with Rocori up 14 to 12. In the third quarter Rocori scored 6 points to keep in the lead. In the last quarter, Rocori outscored their opponents by 9 points and kept the lead to win the game.

In the second quarter, soaring through for St. Cloud Apollo, Ben Alvord aired out a 62 yard pass to Noel Teigen good for a TD. St. Cloud Apollo turned up their air game when Alvord connected again on a 49 yard pass to Kyle Rosenthal for a touchdown. In the fourth quarter, St. Cloud Apollo found more success on the ground when Cooper Lynch ran forward scoring a TD.

Rocori's offense got the job done.

Though not enough to win, the St. Cloud Apollo offense covered more ground. Making a valiant effort, Ben Alvord passed for 121 yards with 4 of 10 passes completed. Alvord threw an interception once. Noel Teigen made four grabs for 92 total yards and caught one touchdown pass. Larry Miller ran for 76 yards with 16 carries.

Rocori ended the game with a record of 2-0. St. Cloud Apollo ended the game with a record of 0 wins and 3 losses.
