Combined Hiawatha Valley, Three Rivers conference will get two-year trial run beginning in 2013

The breakdown of divisions in the new enrollment-based Southeastern Minnesota football conference is set.

What it reveals is that the opportunity will be gone for at least two huge rivals to meet beginning in 2013 when the league begins a two-year trial run.

That's with Plainview-Elgin-Millville finding itself in the largest of three divisions in a football-only league that's combining the Hiawatha Valley League with the Three Rivers Conference. In the smallest division is P-E-M's biggest rival, Caledonia, the state class A champion four of the last five years.
