Rochester Mayo's new head football coach is a familiar face around the Spartans' program.
Donny Holcomb, the Spartans' offensive coordinator the past three seasons, was named as the fifth head coach in school history on Friday. He takes over for Kevin Landherr, who resigned in January after four seasons as head coach.
Mayo went 17-11 over the past three seasons, with Holcomb as its offensive coordinator.
