After five straight years of losing to Lakeville South — the 2020 and 2021 Class 6A state champion — a new batch of Lakeville North players got their first taste of beating their rival on Friday.

The Panthers beat the Cougars 35-31 behind a touchdown pass from senior quarterback Riley Grossman to Reece Hunt that put North ahead with 16.4 seconds remaining.
