And the winner is...MN Football Hub defensive Top Performer revealed

See who fans voted as the top performer from Nov. 11-14.

Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Football Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.


Top performer winner

Maison Olson, Litchfield. The senior led the Dragons’ bounce-back win at New London-Spicer, a week after his team gave up 58 points in their only loss of the season. Olson made 14 tackles and recorded an interception to lead Litchfield's defense as the Dragons won 39-12.

Top performer candidates

Tim Gilmore, Russell-Tyler-Ruthton. In addition to leading the Knights’ offense with three rushing touchdowns, the senior had a solid showing on defense in a 45-0 defeat of Yellow Medicine East. Gilmore led the Knights with nine tackles and grabbed an interception, which he returned 55 yards for his first defensive TD of the season.

Tori Helget, Springfield. The senior had his best game of the season for the Tigers, making 12 tackles in a 38-13 victory over Tracy-Milroy-Balaton. He recorded 1.5 sacks and forced a fumble to pace the Tigers’ defense.

Eli Schlangen, Two Harbors. The Agates defeated Mesabi East 29-14 on Nov. 11 to earn their fourth win of the season. Schlangen led Two Harbors' defense as he made 10 tackles with half a sack. The senior also grabbed two interceptions — his fourth and fifth of the season.

Connor Zych, Wheaton-Herman-Norcross. The Warriors nearly doubled Ortonville’s scoring in a 42-22 triumph on Nov. 11. Zych spearheaded his team's defense, making 16 total tackles. Five of his tackles were for a loss, including two sacks.
