And the winner is...MN Football Hub offensive Top Performer revealed

Top performer winner

Jackson Leischow, Benilde-St. Margaret’s. The Red Knights closed out the regular season with a 36-34 victory over Robbinsdale Cooper powered by Leischow’s best performance of the season. The senior quarterback recorded 267 passing yards on 10 completions, throwing for three TDs — all of which were for 43 or more yards. He also ran for 59 yards and a TD on nine carries.

Top performer candidates

Ben Alsleben, Litchfield. The Dragons avenged their first loss of the season with a 39-12 victory at New London-Spicer on Nov. 12, led by their senior quarterback who tallied two touchdowns in each of the first three quarters. Alsleben completed 11 passes for 208 yards and four touchdowns. He added 83 yards on the ground, taking 10 carries and scoring two TDs. Alsleben finished the regular season as one of the top quarterbacks in the state, ranking third with 104 completions and 1,535 passing yards, and second with 19 TD throws.

Drew Kittelson, Blooming Prairie. The junior quarterback recorded his second 400-yard game of the season, compiling 418 total yards in the Awesome Blossoms’ 47-6 rout of Fillmore Central. Kittelson went 24-for-30 with 341 passing yards and five touchdowns. He added 77 rushing yards on eight carries. Kittelson is seventh in the state with 1,168 passing yards and tied for third with 18 passing TDs this season.

Ryan Miles, Richfield. The senior quarterback surpassed the 400-yard mark in the Spartans’ regular-season finale — a 42-28 victory over SMB. Miles completed 27 passes for 409 yards, an average of just over 15 yards per completion. With the Spartans trailing 21-7 with time running out in the first half, Miles completed a 50-yard TD pass to bring the Spartans within one touchdown at halftime. In the second half, Miles completed four consecutive touchdown passes, vaulting the Spartans to a lead that SMB couldn't overcome.

Sawyer Seidl, Hill-Murray. The Pioneers looked to the sophomore running back to shoulder the bulk of the offense in their 38-21 defeat of South St. Paul. Seidl was handed the ball 46 times as he amassed 340 rushing yards — and an average of 7.4 yards per carry — and three touchdowns. His longest TD run was a 79-yard first-quarter scamper.
