After a week off, Caledonia cruised to a 66-7 victory over visiting Dover-Eyota on Saturday afternoon for its 70th consecutive football victory.

Junior Eli King threw three touchdown passes, ran for a touchdown and returned a punt for a touchdown to lead the Warriors, who have the longest current winning streak in the nation and the second longest in state history. Stephen-Argyle won 78 consecutive games between 2003 and 2008.

The Warriors opened the season with a 26-8 victory over Plainview-Elgin-Millville on Oct. 10 but were idle last week after their scheduled opponent canceled because of COVID-19 issues.
