Bofferding's 4 rushing TDs moves him into third place on all-time list

The confidence gained by a promising start gradually melted away as an unsettling reality set in for Mankato East during Tuesday night's Section 2AAAA first-round playoff game - the Cougars simply could not stop the Marshall Tigers' offense.

The Tigers scored on their final four possessions of the second half for the 40-point win. Bofferding scored his fourth touchdown of the game on a 36-yard run late in the third quarter for the 58th rushing touchdown of his career, which puts him alone in third place on the all-time list.

"I'm honored, but I'm just having the time of my life out here playing with these guys, and that's the most important thing," Bofferding said. "A touchdown is a touchdown, but I'm just happy to be out here. Hats off to the guys up front. They've been doing a great job all year."
