From Cadet linebacker to Navy SEAL?

Parker Chapman, a junior linebacker, helped St. Thomas Academy to an unblemished regular season (8-0).

The best movie I've seen in the past year? "Warrior."

Three songs I never skip on my iPod are ... oh, you can't skip the epic songs such as "Fallen Army"; "300 Violins" or "Protectors of the Earth."

How do you balance school and athletics? It is a very daunting task trying to balance school and sports, but I manage.

At my first varsity practice, I felt ... extremely nervous and my head was spinning constantly. I think I screwed up at least 10 times during the first half hour of practice.

Favorite meal before a game? The famous McManus chocolate chip pancakes.

What is your most memorable moment as a high school athlete? When I intercepted a pass against Tartan and scored.

Who is your favorite college or pro sports team and why? My favorite college team is Navy because I hope to attend the Naval Academy.

In 10 years, I hope I'm ... serving as a U.S. Navy SEAL.

Do you have a secret talent - and if so, what is it? I believe that I have a talent for singing. However, no one else seems to feel the same way.

When you have time off during vacation, what do you like to do? I enjoy working on combustion engines, riding my motorcycle and driving cars. Legally, of course.

What is the best sports advice you ever received? My father's one rule for the game of golf. "Just turn it upside down and hit it."
