It was a big evening for the Rocori Spartans, who earned a piece of their first Central Lakes Conference title since 2003 and played in the presence of one of their brightest and best alumni.
Eric Decker, wide receiver for the Denver Broncos, made an appearance at William J. Virant Memorial Field to watch his alma mater beat Sauk Rapids 31-0 on windy, cool night.
Decker was a junior on the 2003 team. His stepbrother, senior quarterback/defensive back Nate Meyer, helped direct Rocori to its sixth straight win, passing for two touchdowns and running for another.
