Josh Anyasike, Dawson-Boyd. The senior accounted for nearly all of the Blackjacks’ rushing yards, carrying the ball 27 times for 222 yards and an average of just over 8.0 yards per carry. His four touchdowns in the win is his season best as the Blackjacks defeated MACCRAY 32-6.

Elijah Alexander, Andover. The junior quarterback completed 19 passes for 238 yards in the Huskies’ 34-28 loss to Elk River. The longest of his four passing touchdowns was 44 yards.

Jake Breitbach, Robbinsdale Armstrong. Breitbach led the Falcons to their fourth consecutive win, keeping their perfect record intact and handing Chaska their first loss of the season. The senior quarterback threw for 194 yards and three touchdowns. He added 93 yards and another touchdown on the ground, making it his fourth consecutive four-touchdown game. The Falcons defeated Chaska 32-14.

Nick Drinken, Randolph. The senior quarterback led the Rockets to a 32-21 victory against Kenyon-Wanamingo behind a 360-yard performance. Drinken accumulated 285 passing yards and threw four touchdowns — the longest a 58-yard completion to open the scoring in the first quarter — to go with 75 rushing yards. He’s tallied at least 270 yards in each of the first four games of the season and his 15 passing touchdowns are tied for the most in the state this season.

Colton Hackel, Perham. The sophomore quarterback was the model of consistency in the Yellowjackets’ 44-6 rout of Fergus Falls, accumulating more than 200 total yards for the fourth straight game and helping Perham score at least 44 points for the third consecutive game. Hackel finished the game with 179 passing yards and two touchdowns and had two more TDs while amassing 157 rushing yards.

Payton Hess, Russell-Tyler-Ruthton. The senior seemed to do a little bit of everything in the Sting’s first win of the season — a convincing 40-12 victory at Canby — acting as quarterback, punt returner and kicker. Hess threw for a season-high 270 yards and three touchdowns, including two in the first quarter that were each more than 50 yards. He also ran for 59 yards and two TDs. Hess also tallied 14 yards on a punt return, kicked two extra-point attempts and was successful on a two-point conversion.

Jonathan Kieran, St. Anthony. The senior running back continued his hot start to the season, extending his streak of games with at least 200 rushing yards to four in the Huskies’ 56-27 win at Richfield. Kieran amassed 392 rushing yards, averaging 18.7 yards per carry), and notched six touchdowns – three of which were in the third quarter and each was for 44 or more. After four games this season, Kieran has reached 1,000 rushing yards on the season — a category in which he leads the state.

Dakota Mitchell, Crosby-Ironton. The senior quarterback surpassed 200 passing yards for the first time this season in the Rangers’ 36-22 win over Pine City. He finished with 232 and threw a season-high five touchdowns — his first an 80-yard gain to open the game's scoring.

Jackson Nibbelink, Winona. The senior matched his rushing touchdown total from the previous three weeks combined in the Winhawks’ 34-24 victory against Kasson-Mantorville. Nibbelink scored three rushing touchdowns and racked up 138 yards, averaging 11.5 yards per carry, on the ground. He threw for 74 yards and one touchdown, as well.

Austin Seifert, Chisago Lakes. The junior quarterback led the Wildcats' convincing come-from-behind win, helping the team score 48 unanswered points in a 48-16 defeat of Cambridge-Isanti. Seifert more than doubled his previous season high in rushing yards (107 yards in a 38-8 season-opening win) with 224 and scored his first three rushing touchdowns of the season, including on runs of 59 and 86 yards. He also threw a TD — one of his three completions.
