Two coaches closing in on 100 career wins

A pair of Minnesota high school football coaches could reach the century mark in career victories this week.

Carter Ross, Westbrook-Walnut Grove, achieved his 99th career win last Friday night when the Chargers defeated Granada-Huntley 40-8.  Westbrook-Walnut Grove is 2-1 this year.  This is the 15th year as head coach for Ross, and has an overall record of 99-46-0.

He will be going for career win number 100 this Friday when the Chargers visit Cleveland, which has a record of 0-3.
 
Flint Motschenbacher of Detroit Lakes also achieved his 99th career win last Friday night when the Lakers defeated Thief River Falls 21-20.  Detroit Lakes is 2-1 this year.  This is Motschenbacher's 14th season as head coach and has an overall record of 99-41-0.
 
He will be going for career win number 100 this Friday when they host Staples-Motley, which has a record of 0-3
