The long and storied history of Escanaba High School football adds another chapter to its bulging scrapbook this weekend and hopes to add a first victory in the process.

The Eskymos will play their first game in the Twin Cities metropolitan area when they visit Victoria Saturday to face Holy Family High School. The 10-year-old school of about 650 students is about 25 minutes southwest of Minneapolis.

It is not the first time the Eskymos will play in Minnesota. They visited Foley, northwest of the Twin Cities, in 2007 but lost 28-27.

They have played one other Minnesota team, hosting St. Paul Cretin Derham Hall in Escanaba in 1996. St. Paul, a perennial state power, won 23-14.
