Steady Hermantown runs past Denfeld

Hermantown went on a 16-play drive to begin the second half, culminating in a short touchdown run, and later recovered a fumble in the end zone to defeat Duluth Denfeld on Friday night.

In practice, Hermantown’s football team runs a drill called “12 perfect plays.” If, at any time during an offensive drive, there’s a penalty or a mistake, that drive has to begin anew.

The Hawks might have to change the drill to “16 perfect plays” now.
