Becker’s Carter Callahan rumbled for 113 yards and two touchdowns last week as the No. 1-4A Bulldogs (7-0) held off St. Cloud Apollo 23-18.
A senior fullback who doubles as a human bulldozer, the 6-foot-1, 230-pound Callahan has rushed for 453 yards and 10 touchdowns. He serves as a punishing complement to Becker quarterback Ryan Bengtson, who has thrown for 871 yards and 15 touchdowns.
Willmar’s lone loss came on Sept. 10, a 40-14 setback against No. 2-4A Hutchinson. The No. 7-4A Cardinals (6-1) have won five straight, including last week’s 41-6 rout of Chisago Lakes. Michael Price (620 yards, 9 TDs) and Alex Schramm (611 yards, 7 TDs) share the rushing load.
