Concordia Academy vs. Breck

7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 11

This one lost a little of its luster last week when Breck recorded its first loss of the season — 14-0 to St. Agnes. Concordia Academy squeaked out a 9-7 win over St. Agnes on Sept. 20, so here we go with the transitive property again.

Regardless of past results, we’re expecting a thriller between Twin City Metro Rivers Subdistrict opponents.

Breck's scoring leader is senior running back Derek Turner (916 rushing yards, 15 TDs), but the X-factor for the No. 10-3A Mustangs (5-1, 2-1) could be do-it-all sophomore Xander Williams, who has completed 24 passes and caught three more in five games.

Concordia Academy’s top threat is senior running back Cal Johnson, who had run for 541 yards and six touchdowns before the No. 6-2A Beacons (6-0, 3-0) routed Brooklyn Center 41-0 last week.
