Fridley vs. St. Anthony

7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 27

Class 4A isn’t strictly a private affair. Twin City Suburban Gold Subdistrict members Fridley and St. Anthony might have the talent to play the role of party crashers.

Fridley has won all four of its games by 41 or more points. Quarterback Kaleb Blaha has thrown six touchdowns and rushed for 11 more for the Tigers (4-0, 2-0), state tournament qualifiers in 2016 and 2017.

St. Anthony’s offense has a dominant force as well in Jonathan Kieren, who leads the state with 1,079 rushing yards and 14 rushing touchdowns. The Huskies (4-0, 1-0) are looking for a return trip to the state tournament, where they lost 24-22 to St. Paul Johnson in last year's quarterfinals.
