Providence Academy vs. Mound Westonka

7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 28

Not many teams have matched the complete game performances turned in by Providence Academy and Mound Westonka this year.

The Lions and the No. 10-4A White Hawks own the top offenses and defenses not only the Twin City Gold subdistrict, but also in Class 4A, Section 5.

However, one mistake by either squad may prove to be the difference in their meeting on Friday.

Providence Academy (4-0, 3-0) is scoring nearly 43.3 points per game while averaging just 1.5 points given up, which leads the section and league.

The Lions boast a two-headed attack on offense with senior quarterback Max Anderson amassing 431 yards and six touchdowns and senior Jeff Ekiyor pounding the ball on the ground for 538 yards and 10 TDs.

Mound Westonka (4-0, 3-0) is putting up totals close to those of Providence Academy, averaging 41 points per game while allowing 6.8.

The White Hawks boast consistency in their offensive backfield. Senior quarterback Brandon Hokkanen has compiled 600 passing yards to go with nine touchdowns. He's thrown for at least two TDs in each game this season. Junior running back Adam Nobs has contributed with a team-high 353 rushing yards and five touchdowns.
