The Section 8 tournament should be challenging as well for the top seeds. Hawley is 8-0 and ranked third in the AP poll, earning the top seed. Barnesville (7-1) is ranked seventh and earned the No. 2 seed. No. 3 seeded Crookston is 6-2 and No. 4 seed Warrroad is 7-1.
Hawley earned comfortable wins over Crookston and Barnesville in the regular season. Warroad is a wildcard, as the Warriors didn’t play any of the other top seeds in the section — they won close games over the bottom two seeds in the section, Bagley and Roseau.
