Irondale at Robbinsdale Cooper
7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 18

Robbinsdale Cooper found itself fighting for a subdistrict title last season, but it ended up falling to Spring Lake Park 57-39 in a regular-season finale that decided the Suburban Red subdistrict race.

The Hawks are in the title chase again thanks to balance on both sides of the ball. Their defense allows just 8.0 points per game while the offense is humming at 41.6 ppg behind the play of senior quarterback Cameron King, who had three passing touchdowns last week to bring his season total to 18. His top target has been junior receiver Pedro Amoussou (536 receiving yards, 4 TDs).

While Irondale hasn't lit up the scoreboard as much as Robbinsdale Cooper, it averages a hefty 26.3 points per game.

The Knights have a trio of proven playmakers who can make a difference in this game.

Senior quarterback Brendan White (952 passing yards, 11 TDs) and junior receiver Aden Price (557 receiving yards, 8 TDs) lead the Knights through the air, while junior running back Parker Freiberg (893 rushing yards, 11 TDs) has powered the ground game.
