East Ridge vs. Cretin-Derham Hall
7:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 29

Despite hitting bumps in the road this season, East Ridge and Cretin-Derham Hall still remain in control of their own destinies in Metro East subdistrict play, but a loss on Friday could change the course for one of these teams.

The Raptors (3-1, 3-0) lost their season opener to Champlin Park 34-13 but have surged since and are undefeated in league play.

The Raiders (2-2, 2-0) are also perfect against league foes, but are coming off their second defeat this season -- a 34-21 loss at Blaine. If Cretin-Derham Hall hopes to get back into the win column, they'll need to slow East Ridge senior quarterback Riley Tuckner, who has thrown for 541 yards and five touchdowns while adding a pair of rushing TDs.

Raiders senior wide receiver Jaylen Newton looks to continue his recent hot streak after compiling 215 yards and two TDs in the last two weeks.

Cretin-Derham Hall won the first six meetings between the teams after East Ridge opened its doors in 2009, but the Raptors have taken the last three games, including a 21-6 win a year ago.
