United North Central vs. Pillager
7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 22

It has been smooth sailing for undefeated United North Central through three weeks, but it may face its first big test of the season in a matchup with Midwest Blue subdistrict rival Pillager.

The Warriors (3-0, 2-0) have allowed just 20 points in three weeks, and their backfield combo of senior quarterback James Clark and junior running back Zach Floyd were again unstoppable last week, combining for six touchdowns in a 42-12 victory over Wadena-Deer Creek.

The No. 3-2A Huskies (2-1, 1-1), who reached last year's Class 2A state tournament, will be searching for a bounce-back win after falling 35-8 to Ottertail Central last week. Junior running back Dylan Loftis paced Pillager in the game, with 112 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
