Hutchinson vs. Becker
7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 22

From 2012-2015, Hutchinson and Becker each won two Class 4A state titles. The powerhouses programs collide this week when the Tigers travel to the Bulldogs.

Both teams have played close games this season, including last week when No. 4-4A Hutchinson defeated No. 13-4A Big Lake 21-14 and No. 7-4A Becker dropped a 16-14 contest to No. 6-4A Rocori.

The rivalry between the Tigers and the Bears is marked by tight games too, with two of the last three being decided by three points, including the Tigers' 37-34 win to open last season.

Junior running back Josiah Nelson has paced Hutchinson (3-0, 2-0) with 266 rushing yards and four touchdowns.

While its offense was limited last week, Becker (2-1, 1-1) has shown an ability to get things done both on the ground and through the air. Sophomore quarterback Josh Fobbe has thrown for 537 yards and nine touchdowns while adding three rushing TDs. Senior running back Sidney Boros has a team-high 339 rushing yards and two TDs.
